Today is day 21 if I count from the day after I set the eggs. I have 4 silkie eggs , 5 brown layer eggs, and 5 Easter egger eggs . None have made any internal sounds or pipping . I candle two eggs yesterday in fear that my temperature was too hight bc the temperature read 41°c and the humidity was at 55% when I candles the one silkie egg he/she was moving and looking healthy , then I candled one of my easter eggers and I couldn't see movement but it's beak was close to the air cell . My temperature is now reading 37°c and humidity is at 60% . Should I continue to wait for these babies or did I do something wrong ? This is my first time incubating my own eggs.. fyi: (homemade incubator) any advice would be helpful. Thanks, concerned, freaking out soon to be chinken mama

All your pictures are gifs.
Is your thermometer and hygrometer calibrated?
Lol I copied and pasted it from the comment I left on another post I didn't realize it copied the gifs too. And yes I triple checked the thermometer but I don't have a way to check the hygrometer.

Good, that is the correct way to count. A good way to check your counting is the day of the week you started them is the day of the week the 21 days is up. If you started them in a Sunday, the 21 days are up on a Sunday.

Do not do anything dramatic or drastic. That 21 day thing is an approximation, it is not set in stone. For many different reasons eggs can be a couple of days early or late. If you toss them now you face a real risk of tossing out perfectly healthy chicks. Some reasons they can be early or late are heredity, humidity, how and how long the eggs were stored, and just differences between individual eggs. If the average incubation temperature is a little warm they can be early. If it is a bit cool they can be late.

Sometimes you can see the eggs wiggling too as the chick positions itself to hatch. But all of them do not wiggle when you are watching or peep when they internal pip. They don't always show movement when you candle. Do not toss the eggs because of that.

I'd wait until Day 25 before I tossed any. I know it can be hard to wait but patience is often your best friend.

I did candle them all last night. 3 of them apparently stopped development after I stopped turning them . 4 of them were healthy and moving . 2 were not moving but took up the whole egg except the air cell. 1 of my silkies is still small but moving around healthy but one is almost as big as the egg and the other on I believe died there I'd no further development and no more vanes .. could it be that the silkies are on the cooler side of the (homemade incubator)?

If so should I move them closer to the heat or just let them be and hatch when ever ? The bigger eggs are closer to the heat and those are the ones that I can't really tell if they are ok or not.

if your heat is low then that can cause them to hatch later than day 21. If there are veins and movement then all is still good and they may just need more time to cook. Do you have a calibrated thermometer in there?
