Need help diagnosing respiratory problem

Hello. I am new to BYC. We have a few hens that are showing signs of a respiratory problem.....wheezing, gargling type noises from their throat. It seems like something deep down in their throat and every now and then, they cough as if to try and clear their throat. Any ides??

Is there any coughing, sneezing, wheezing, nasal drainage or dirty nostrils, or watery/bubbly eye? How long have you had these birds, and have you added any new ones lately? Depending on which symptoms you are seeing, may point to whether you are dealing with a virus, bacterial disease, or fungal infection. Make sure your coop is not too hot inside, has good air circulation from one end to the other, and minimalize dust and wet or moldy spots.
