Got these from Tractor Supply this afternoon. They are just "assorted, straight run bantams." They're not even sure what hatcheries their chicks come from. I personally know that Townline is one of them, but they said there were a few, but just didn't know who...

I've got my guesses, but if anyone wants to chime in, I'd really appreciate it. :D

#1. Almost positive this is a Golden Laced Sebright. I've had them before...

#2. My lighting is so yellow, but this is a grayish-blue, clean-legged little chipmunk. Guessing some sort of OEGB.

#3. Again crappy lighting. This one is gray, too. Feather-legged. Kind of a red head. My guess is Mille Fleur D'Uccle.

#4. Not sure on this one. Another chipmunk, but red and brown, and obviously a bit darker. Clean-legged. Maybe a different type of OEGB?

And for the bonus round, could anyone tell me what this standard fowl chick is? It was in the Leghorn Pullet bin. I saw it had a black dot on it's head, and I chose the one with black dots all over it last year, and that leghorn is my favorite, sweet girl. Thought I couldn't go wrong with another one. It was again, the only one with black (just one dot on it's head, with it darkening a little by it's beak) on it.

It wasn't until I got it home that I realized that it had really puffy cheeks. My other normal leghorn chick from the same bin doesn't have it.

Here it is!

And here's the other regular leghorn I got out of the same bin.

If it has puffy cheeks, it sounds like an EE, but in the Leghorn bin...I'm not so sure about that.

#3 definitely looks like a Mille Fleur D'Uccle.

With puffy cheeks it may be an Easter Egger. The leg color is not a typical EE color though and I can't see anything by way of comb so EE is just a guess. See if you can take pictures of your chicks in another 8 weeks and post them. It will be much easier to tell what is what then.

Add: The bonus chick could be an Ideal 236 possibly (they are white Leghorns with a black spot here and there)...or a California Leghorn...but looks like an EE to me still.

Hey, I'd be okay with another EE (as long as it's a girl..I'm all set on roos).

I love my other two.
