Hi everyone! We just got our first baby chicks a couple weeks ago from a couple different sources. We are chicken virgins though, we've never had any chickens before and are learning as we go :)

Anyway I have 4 and would just like your thoughts on their breeds / genders.

The youngest (Pepper) is about 4 weeks:

This one (Anna) is about 6 weeks: *We are worried this one is a male, can't have roosters in our city :(

I think this one (Peanut Butter) is about 8 weeks, but not sure: *Also, worried that this one is male*

and finally, this is Cheddar, I was told about 8 weeks, but he/she is smaller than Peanut Butter so not sure:

I know it may be too early to tell gender, but would love to get an idea of their breeds. Thanks a lot!!

The third one I think is a red sex-link, which would make it a pullet. Fourth, possibly the same. First and second I have no idea, can't even guess :/ lol.

Thanks so much. I'd never even heard of red sex links before, but after doing a little research, I think you may be right. Now I just wish I knew what the other 2 are :)

I'd give pepper a bit longer, Anna's a mix pullet, is Peanut Butter is a Red Sexlink, he's 2 generation, and Cheddar is a mix not a sexlink mix, I don't think any of these birds are as old as 8 weeks or they would be feathered out a bit more
