No, not yet. I've had eggs rock as eaeky as day 14. I always lockdown on day 18. Now, I lockdown when I see the first internal pip. Sometimes day 17, sometimes day 19 or even 20. It won't hurt to stop turning them, but don't up the humidity just yet.I have 7 standard eggs in a Brinsea Mini Advance 2.
It is day 16.
They are rocking and rolling! Should I add water and stop the turner?
I have candled 3x and all look good. I can't see much now but the air space has definitely enlarged.Have you been candling the eggs?
Do you know if they are starting to draw down yet?
If you are worried, I promise you, it doesn't hurt to stop turning the eggs a few days early.I have candled 3x and all look good. I can't see much now but the air space has definitely enlarged.
Draw down? (My incubator was a virgin until now. Lol)
Also, I should mention that my broodies chicks have always hatched at 19 and 20 days. I don't think they've ever had one hatch at 21 days.
Yes. I checked the incubator for several days before using it. Humidity dry was at 37% and temp was a perfect 99.5.If you are worried, I promise you, it doesn't hurt to stop turning the eggs a few days early.
Do you have an extra calibrated thermometer in there?
I never add water.Btw. I literally have a thimble of water in the incubator. I'm running it dry because it is so humid here. They have been staying right on target with weight loss.
