Need help selecting Muscovy's

My husband's duck just died and he is heartbroken. I want to surprise him with a duckling. The store where I can buy ducks carries Muscovy's and I want to select a very nice one. Does anyone have any tips for selecting a good scovy duckling? Thanks a bunch!

It really comes down to color. I don't really care for the solid white ones.

Like any other duckling/ chick etc . Look for active, bright eyed, not a runt
