Need help with a BIG brooder!

Ok so my white leghorn chickens are not the nicest chickens. I have about 7-8 week old chickens with there mom. I whant to make a frame and put chicken wier on it.

This is my coop. I took this pic in july last year. I have 11 full grown chickens in the coop now. All the way in the back i whant to put up a frame and put chicken wier in it. And the i can put mom babys in it away from the older chickens till they are older. And then when i get more baby chickens i will put them in there. What do you all think? And my gole is to CEEP OUT the older chickens.

I needed a brooder area, so DD & I made a little closet. It was pretty easy, even though we have no building experience. We just attached 2x4s to the rafters on top and framed the bottom. Covered the open areas with chicken wire.

Any issues with the older birds pecking or trying to get in?

Looks to me like you could do a long brooder underneath the nest boxes easily by wrapping it with wire and hanging the light on the open end
