Hello need your help , we have a one month and 2 weeks red star chick that apparently ate a piece of thread, the sewing type of thread we tried to take it out but she was faster than us reaching her after that she starteed like when you have something and try to cough it out but nothing we opned her mouth to see if we could see something but she started to pio pio pio pio and we thought we were harming her and let go but the seconds and from what we could bearly see wee didnt see any thread pointing out from her mouth we gave a litle tiny tiny bit of wheat bread really moist in water to see if she could swallow down it , she ate it but nothing she kept on like coughing after that we with a small syringe gave her water and she drank a little , but nothing she kept trying coughing it out after that we read and gave her olive oil with a syringe carefully we made her drink two small drops and massaged her crop that felt like it was full but it couldnt be because we gave her a small amount of starter food she ate a few and then went around pecking and wondering as always around and found that thread and swalloed it after that all this problem , she hasn't eaten and doesn't drink water by herself neither eat at this moment, minutes ago i opened her cage so she could get out because she has no mom she is from pet shop and we have raised her and she eated and dranked water by herself before this incident , but now she doesnt want to get out , i gave water with syringe but only drank approx 3 drops i massged her crop or breast (dont know if that's correct name - part below her thorat that conects to body ) and it is sort of swelled like if she had eaten a lot but we know she didnt pleaseeee help us

Sorry you are having to deal with this right now.

Be VERY very careful with forcing anything in her mouth, food/water, if you force it down the wrong pipe...even one drop of water she can aspirate and die.

Her crop may feel full because she has been eating all day...right?

There isn't much you can do at this point....I would wait to see if she passes the string on her own.

No she dindt eat all day we took her out of cage this morning inside of cage she doesnt have food because she poops in it after she got out went to get her plate with a small amount of food she ate a little and after that this incident so thats why we know its not full cuz of food :(

And yes we were care full about the water we put small drops in finger for her to drink but dosnt want so we left her relax and see if she gets better because i pray for her to be so

At two weeks old she really should have access to food and water 24/7.
She has 1 month and 2 weeks. She has acces to food and water until 9:00 pm after that she goes in her cage with water only but. She goes to sleep fast and early in the morning out she goes for food again
