This is my first flock and they've been laying since end of last summer. I was getting 5-6 eggs per day from my six chickens but noticed decline in the past three or four days. Then yesterday I got an egg with a puncture in it like it had been pecked once. Then today I got one egg with a puncture and one egg that only had half of the shell left. How do I catch whose doing it? And does this mean an automatic trip to freezer camp?

Well, you can set up a trail cam to catch the culprit.

A neat solution without anyone going to freezer camp is to modify your nest boxes into ones where the eggs roll out of reach of the hens once they're laid. I forget what exactly this set-up is called, but I'm sure someone will chime in with it.
