need help with duck eggs

Are you seeing these "cracks" when candling? These aren't my pictures, but shows eggs with undesirable porousness.
These eggs are at my boyfriends house. I wish I could take a picture. They aren't damaged in any way. Just have like a huge area of crack that is just on the surface. I just hope the hen didn't step on them, since the egg shells are so ... Uh... Humid/damp/oily. Idk duck eggs are weird. Besides that I saw the duckling moving on the inside. I see what seems to be fluff/feather fluff ... Its air sac looks perfect. I just don't know because I've never done ducks. I didn't think any kind of cracking until they were ready was good. I guess I will find out this week. I hope they hatch. Call ducks are so adorable. Thank you

If you do a search of the forums, you will find loads of success stories in which people have repaired ACTUAL cracks in eggs and the chicks/goslings/ducklings hatched and thrived. Different people have different methods of dealing with it, from nail polish to Scotch tape. The idea is all the same, sealing out bacteria and sealing in moisture.
