need help with feed.

the feed store we were going to use went out of buisness. they made there own feed for growers. we found another one that can make feed up. they charge 7.50 per 50 pounds. i am not sure what to have them mix in. any ideas? he said something about corn and milo. i have to get it in 500 pound lots. any ideas would be a great help

They should have pre-mixes already available. Tell them you want a 22% non-medicated broiler feed. They should do the rest. If not... you could find pre-made mixes on-line.

Normal mixes have a base of shelled corn, alfalfa meal, oats, soybeans, aragonite, fish meal, or even animal by-product or animal fat.

Different mixes of these ingredients make up most feeds. I would go with the fish meal for the protein along with the soybeans.

thanks for the info jeff. i will call them back and see what they can come up with. he said something about corn and milo but not anything else. we are bumbed the store around the corner closed
