Need help with latches

We have a newly built coop. Need help with a way to secure the egg collection door and the chick’s door.

The collection door is big and heavy and not flush with the coop wall.

The chick door needs a way to lock at night and a way to secure in the open position. It also is not flush. (ramp is removable)

Any advice?

General rule of thumb is if a five year old can open a latch without being taught, so can a racoon.
I thought it was a 3-year-old. Either way, whoever is making these rules up, has never had kids.

A hasp with a carabiner through it is enough to stop a raccoon. Can be opened by both a 3-year-old and a 5-year-old just fine.
