Well, we are getting back into the chicken business. I have a 8x10 Mini barn coming next week, I wanted a coop I can walk in to. It is a low side barn with one window in the back. I will add a couple of small peak vents on the ends but not sure how to get more light and ventilation into the coop. Anybody have any suggestions? The shingled roof comes down low so I don't know how to add more windows.

If they will have a run, I see only a need for ventilation. They will go outside when it is light enough.

don't know if it will help you, but I got basement flush mounted windows at Lowes, 15 bucks a piece! nice size, I'm actually installing them in my shed's side door. Glass is removable with screen

Thanks for the replies, I will have a run, but I worried about them not having enough light in the coop for egg production, guess I can put a light and timer in with them.
