I went to our local TSC this evening to pick up some feed for my chicks and chickens along with a few other things and run across the chicks and ducklings again.I had done seen them before on Sunday and just knew I was going to go backfor some of the duckies. So here I am llooking at their ducks and seen that they had some left that were bigger. As I was looking at them one of the guys that worked there came up and asked if needed help.I told him I was considering the ducks, but at 6 min @$4.29 a piece,I was about to turn away when he pointed out his older ducklings. He told me he would let them go at cost @$2.50 a piece with 2 min.I walked away with 6

I was wondering if anybody can tell me the breed of these ducks and possible sex.I have posted another post asking about sexing them, but I thought pics would be better for the pros to go by.So here they are....The New Quack Crew!!!

The three yellow ones with orange bills are white pekins. I don't know what the other three are. Possibly Khaki Campbells? I only say that because our TSC had Khaki Campbells, Mallards and White Pekins, and I know those aren't Mallards!

We bought two white pekins and two mallards and those are definitely white pekins, about a week and a half old. They appear smaller than mine, and they're 16 days old now. The white pekins are huge even at that age. They're about the size of a small cat!

I was told by the experts here that you can't determine gender on them until about four weeks of age. And then the females start quacking and the males get quieter and don't quack.

Here is a photo of our ducks at about one week old.
