Need help with what I believe is sour crop in my rooster. I read about flushing the crop with epsom salt and water. I have also seen where people hold the bird upside down and try to squeeze the crop. Should I attempt this or just try to do the flush? I can tell he feels really bad. Not sure how long this has been going on. My daughter takes care of the chickens and I usually go check on them a couple of times per day but the last couple of days I have not gotten out there. She came in and told me he looked like he felt bad. I have him in my house now resting in the laundry room. He also has runny poop. I have some antibiotics on hand from a chicken that had a respiratory illness about six months ago. Should I give him some of that? Suggestions?
