I recently just got 4 baby chicks.. I'm kinda new to taking care of chickens but I'm trying my best to take care of them. Right now they all are healthy. The problem is that they always chirp loudly every morning and times that I'm in a different room. There's always that one chick that chirp loudly for my attention. And that always wake me up every morning. The temperature is right and they have enough water and food. Is it normal for them to chirp loud that everyone can hear them?

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Congratulations on your new chicks :celebrate Do your chicks have an area in the brooder where they can get away from the heat source? Sometimes if they are hot they can cheep very loudly. Sounds like you have things right with water food and temp. If all is good in your brooder you may have an attention seeking chick that loves the attention.

Here is a lovely article on raising chicks

Well they are babies with no mother around. Human babies keep parents up all night too. Can you put them farther away from your bedroom? Maybe if you trying playing soft music on a radio they won't feel so abandoned.

Mine chicks chirped so loud it kept me up at night! Not the wife though... lol
