Need ideas...pheasant scratching under chin after eating food

I have a sick impeyan has diarrhea been for a few days. He seemed to get sick after I wormed him and hasn't really been eating. Took him home and having a hard time getting him to eat. Even mealworms, hard boiled egg... Gave him cranberry juice yesterday, on probiotics, and now is on antibiotics in water. I got him to eat a whopping 2 mealworms today and after he did he scratched under his chin both times after swallowing. I am trying to thinks as to why this would make him itch under his chin. He does seem to be swallowing frequently also. No wheezing etc Just that and diarrhea. I need more suggestions on what to do...Thanks in advance

as far as diarrhea what feed are you giving him( or what were you giving him when he became ill?)

Piperazine then 2 weeks later fenbenazole which he got sick 1-2 days later. He eAts agway turkey grower. Gets apples, mixed bird seed, dry dog food, bread, and squaSh for treats. I think the wormers should have gotten gapeworm.

Somewhat good news he had a normal bm this morning still a little green but all intact. Think he finally caved and ate the big mealies I left in his cage last night.

You should try a standard gamebird diet

Send a pm to tony kt or pshall and ask them if there is a need for sepcial wormer for gape worms... I am uncertain on what wormers they require.
