Need immediate advice on guinea keet

I hatched a guinea keet last night. It is walking on its legs with its feet curled to the side and facing inward. Has anyone experienced this? Also, is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

I’ve never had this happen but I wonder if you couldn’t do the tape stirrup thing. Might not help with facing inward tho.

Yeah, it’s not the leg that is inward, it’s just the left foot that is inward. But is walking on its leg. I will try to take a picture of it.

Yea I’m not sure I understand. If it’s the foot I wonder if you couldn’t like make a foot outline with paper clips and tape for him to walk on?

Okay I went to google and found what I was trying to describe. It’s called chick curly foot. I’ve seen it in my book also. This method uses tape.

I have NEVER done or seen this before but that would be my suggestion.

Here is a picture I took. It might be able to help show what’s going on.

You need to check if it is a slipped tendon. A slipped tendon will cause the foot to turn like that. It will only get worse without treatment.

You can manipulate the tendon so that it pops back into place. Once that is done, you have to secure it in place by taping it or possibly even making a brace to hold it in place.

Once the tendon is secured in place, it will be helpful to get a good vitamin B complex making sure it has niacin and thiamine. Mix one half capsule to one gallon of water. This must be made fresh daily. Make sure it is the only source of water the keet gets.
