need information on raising mallards

Hello i just purchased some mallard chicks. I need people who raise to give me some helpful tips on raising them. Thanks

Are they free ranged or fenced in? You might have to clip their wings in a few months if they have an open area. I clip mine.

Agreed on the wing-clipping. There are threads where it is explained clearly.

Well i was wanting to raise them to provide hatching eggs. So wing clipping would be the way to go?

Clipping wings will prevent them from flying off but mallards are easy pickings for many predators if allowed to free range.
