Need information on showgirl silkies.

I have a showgirl roo with 2 regular silkie hens.

Out of theirs eggs what are the chances of them being showgirl chicks?

A showgirl will throw Silkies and Showgirls, however, I do not know if their is a certain percentage. You'll get a good number of both. You want to breed Showgirls to Silkies because it produces better feathering on the Showgirls.

thanks for the info my showgirl rooster is very nice he has very good feathering I got him from Kentuckysilkies.

Oh I will so be posting pics of my babies I am very excited this will be my first time hatching from my showgirl pen. I have ten of their eggs on day 5 in the incubator all growing!!!

Does he look to be of good showgirl quality to breed from?

I can not see his face too good, but his feathering look nice. His comb appears to be a red? Might just be the picture.

it is not bright red but not a normal dark silkie color either. It has more of a red tint then it should.

My showgirl roo has very black skin too! I hope I get some very nice babies I picked out two silkie hens to go with him. They have very dark combs and have the correct eyelobe color very nice feathering as well. I know about 5 generations back from the 2 hens I got so I am hoping for some awesome babies. I am on day 5 so still alot of wait left! I am very excited!
