Need some hatching buddies - Hatching May 24-28

Getting eggs tomorrow and will be setting them after they sit for 6 hours or so. Feel free to join me if you are hatching around May 25...or if you just want to join in the conversation!


I just set 12 Speckled Sussex and 6 Dominique. I had hoped to set them the same time as the rest of my eggs, but the others didn't come today, so I will set them tomorrow. So, tomorrow night I'll be setting 23 Delaware, 5 Barnevelder, 5 Welsummer, and 3 Blue Ameracauna.

Mine are due to hatch on the 26th. 10 red and white showgirls,7 silkies,8cochins,and 4 white japs.This is very addicting

I have been wanting geese but everybody tells me that they are mean.My Aunt tells me though that they are great to have around and eat lots of bugs.Which is true? I would love to hatch some geese

my new incubator is here! this will be my first go at hatching-5 ameraucanas and 6 trader joes are due on 4/28. i am in!

I have Two Brown Chinese geese setting on about 25 eggs in a nest,And Have 8 Sebastopol Goose eggs in my incubator..My Sebastopols are very sweet But my Chinese Geese will get me if given the chance,LOL.

Maybe I will get two or three Sebastopols and see how they are.They are beautiful birds and I enjoy watching them.I just don't want to be attcked by them

My Barred Rock roo got me last week.He ran up and bit me good.

i bought a carton of fertile eggs from a local "natural/organic type" grocery store called trader joes. i found out here on backyardchickens.com that sometimes you can get them to hatch.
