My red golden pheasants just hatched, I have two that got their little elbows stuck in the incubator grating

very small amount of blood, but they are holding them up like their Achilles tendons are stuck or spun.. excuse my lack of knowledge..

do i try to tape them and make a chicken chair?? I really dont want to cull them.

Please help, I searched the forum but I dont understand what their hock is ..we love our animals.

I've never raised pheasants, only chickens. But if i'm understanding your problem correctly, i think i would put them in a small space with food and water in easy reach (so they don't have to walk) and feed them plenty of electrolytes and probably scrambled eggs for extra protein - and see if they don't heal up on their own.

The hock is the "elbow" joint on their leg. Do a search here for "slipped tendon" and instructions will come up. You need to reposition the tendon immediately and then tape the leg. Taping alone, without putting the tendon back in the joint groove, won't help and will instead cripple the bird for life.
