I looked it up. It can mean:
that a change is coming in your life.
Also, the hawk is considered a messenger bird, so when you see them, you're supposed to look for more omens. Looks like you missed that one!
In tasseomancy (tea leaf reading) a bird can mean good luck, or wings can mean news, which would correlate with the messenger.

The Hawk and Flacon are symbols of freedom and prosperity.
to see a hawk that close can mean it is in the very near future.
to have them sit and let you talk to them means a wish granted.
