Need some run advice

When ever I see a coon, it's ALWAYS during the day. Cause I'M sleeping at night! Yes, I know they are around at night, and that's when they do the most damage. But, they can be out and about, doing their murderous acts during the day as well. @bruceha2000 has had them killing his birds mid afternoon.

It is on the side to the left of the windows. Which is one reason I don't love the idea of having the run on the window side. We'd have to go all the way around it to get inside.

You could always frame out another door on the side you want it. The window side would be your best option for a run.

I have a similar situation. Two trees are fenced into the run, and a third tree is just a foot from the chicken coop. My cat demonstrated how easy it was for him to climb the tree, hop on the roof, and barrel roll down into the tarp, tearing the tarp and freaking out the chickens. It was a good fire drill.

I originally envisioned a collar around the trees, attached to them, and then the covering stretching out from there. I'm stumped, but getting the run covered is a priority. It'll probably involve a few layers of materials when I'm done.

Every neighborhood has its native predators. Dogs can be a deterent. Strength of fencing depends on the size and craftiness of the predator. Coyotes usually pass by, following the outer fence. On the otherside of my property the coyote walk right in, and ignore the fenced in dogs. grrrr. I have a lot next to state reserve, and rarely have a coon issue. Generally a problem developes when birds (ducks) are out for the night roosting on the ground.
