I have recently starting seeing a fox hanging around the yard. I have glimpsed him at night while making the rounds and my son has seen him during the day. As of yet, he hasn't gotten into the guinea, duck or chicken coops. But I suspect it's only a matter of time. I have 2 live traps set, but he's a smart little rascal and so far won't enter the traps. I have ordered some fox lure (scent) in hopes of covering my scent and also attracting him enuff to go inside the trap. Does anyone have experience with trapping foxes that could give me a few tips or pointers? You can message me if you don't feel like posting on-line.
Thanks for the help!

Head down to walmart and pick up a good pellet rifle. A nice little zing or two into his backside and he'll start to learn the coop is off limits.

Thanks, but I've got that part covered. He's so sneaky that I can't get close enough to draw a bead on him.

If you are going to shoot him (I would highly recommend you do so if you can), Shoot the fox with a REAL gun. Don't try to scare it, kill it. I've had a couple of daylight fox attacks. I lost multiple birds in each. My coop is like FortKnox, nothing, outside of a bear, can get at the birds when they are shut in that coop. But I learned the hard way, the fox is a 24hr a day predator. I also tried box traps, no luck getting a fox, but I caught a few coons in it. I read about people having a lot of success with snares. You can check that out on You-Tube. What I ended up doing was getting 300' of electrified poultry netting. THAT ended the threat from foxes, and just about everything else.
