hahahah do you think 75% is too high?

YES!!! 75% is way too high. However, I recommend putting the eggs in there and waiting a few hours and THEN make adjustments. Everything changes when the eggs go in. I usually have my humidity at around 55%.

ok I can do 55% easily. 75% is hard to maintain where I live. Now regarding lockdown, how do you handle it. Can I add eggs into the hatcher tomorrow if I dont have cracks on the current set in there?

Yes you can. I use my bator for incubating and hatching. NEver had a problem. Well last time my hygrometer quit on me and half my eggs were shrink wrapped. Dang thing.

oh man! that shrink wrap happens when the egg has already started to hatch right? did your birdies die?

I was also wondering this...so just to clarify. My eggs are upright in an egg carton in the incubator. When I go into lockdown I can put them in the hatcher laying down?

Not always. Shrink wrapping can happen when you open the bator when there is a pip, or if your humidity is not high enough to start with. My last hatch, I thought the humidity was 50% but it was clear halfway through lockdown my hygrometer took a crap. The result was 11 eggs that were shrink wrapped. They never stood a chance because the humidity was too low, making it impossible for them to break through the inner membrane.
