Hubby has given me the OK to buy an incubator. So I need some help here. What brands beside Brinsea and GQF are there? I am not looking for big max about 40 hatch but even that is more than needed right now. So recomendations would be great or links to threads also. I am trying to go back on threads here but that is easier said than done on a seach for incubators.
So any and all help needed as I will be placing order on Monday I think/hope.
I have a Brower Top Hatch that holds 48 chicken eggs. Had many good hatches with it.
Also have Brinsea eco and like it best for small hatches of 24 eggs or less.
There are so many different bators out there it ain't even funny. Here though, you are going to find most people recommend the Brinsea and Hovabator (GFQ) products. Brinsea has 24 eggs bators that are not expensive and Hovabator has a 48 egg one that is around the same price.
Suppose you had a 48 egg incubator and you only wanted to hatch a dozen or so? Is there a minimum number you have to put it a 'bator for it to work? Will it be out of kilter if you put in less than the capacity?
I have two Brinsea but find that sometimes they aren't big enough. I have 20 eggs in now and have at least 24 more coming. So I'm looking at giving up my Brinsea incubators and getting a Dickey.
1588 Hovabator with turner ordered from Cutler supply. We shall see how that does for now. I am wanting the 2x2 Dickey which I will get maybe later this year. But the hovabator will be good for now.
