Ok he is going to get a 3 standereds now! What kinds should he get?

Just looked no buckeyes available at this time, they do still have some wyandottes available

your best bet would be Bantam Brahmas

If he's going with standards now I would suggest,

1. Delawares, great layers of huge brown eggs.
2. Orpingtons (Buff/White), SUPER friendly.
3. Australorps, lay 1 egg a day, almost 365 days a year.

***Also, I would reccommend looking at more hatcheries than just Ideal, I've read a lot of negative feedback on this forum about them. Sick birds, misshiped orders and even dead birds upon arrival are some things I've been told about.
