Here's my amazingly huggable cochin cockral Elvis.
I thought he was the black variety when he was younger but now he's growing in white/silver feathers on his hackles.
He's 10 weeks old if that helps.
He was also black up until about last week.

Here are some pics of him I took about 30min ago.

Not the best pics but everyone was exited thinking I had treats for them so he was on the move.
Also if this thread is in the wrong forum I just want to say I didn't know were to ask about breed varieties.

I like the Birchen patterns. I have a Birchen OEGB roo and a Blue Birchen OEGB roo. I like their looks, but I wish they were as huggable as you describe your cochin to be.

Give them some stale bread! I gave some to Elvis today and he started sniffing around me looking for more.
I grabbed him from behind... and insted of trying to get away... He just sat there! I made some head-way with bread

"He's" not coloured right for a Birchen male. If it's a he there should also be white saddle feathers & a white wing bow. However, if he's really a she her colouring is about right. She should also have some laceing on her breast.
