Need to re-home 6 yr-old hen in East Bay - Northern CA

Our friend in Antioch, CA has a ~6 year-old Buff Orpington and she just lost her only other chicken, so now this poor girl is all alone and not so happy. I can't take a new chicken into my flock right now so hope someone is interested. We understand this would be a bit of a charity mission, since she's hardly laying anymore.

I'd be happy to adopt this hen! I recently lost my 9yr Buff Orpington and feel lost without her. I have no issues regarding the laying. Willow retired from laying many years ago and I was happy to let her enjoy life without egg production! Orpingtons are the best! I live in Madison, AL, so she would need to be shipped to me and I'm happy to pay for that, shipping container, health check (if needed). Please let me know.

To add, it does appear to be an incredibly long journey. However, very doable! I recently adopted 3 Ringneck doves from a lady in CA, and they arrived in just over a day, doing great and none worse for the wear. I am fully versed on exactly what to do shipping birds.
