We had an unplanned hatch from a bonded pair of one year olds, a Rouen drake and a Khaki Cambell duck. The ducklings are 5 weeks old and partly feathered now. We have 15 of those left.

I've posted these ducklings on CraigsList for $5 each/discounts for multiples with a more formal description, mostly because I'm hesitant to put them on CraigsList as free. I'm listing them as free here on BYC because I know they'll go to good homes to anyone on here who responds.

The short of it is that this was my fault, but I'm not going to go into the story unless someone wants to hear it. We need a good home for these ducklings because this puts us far over the limit for our township, and I don't know what would happen to them if the township intervenes. If we had the farm I plan to have someday, we'd just keep all of them.

Just for full disclosure, the ducklings are tame and very used to people, but they won't yet eat from our hands. They'll lie down 1-2 feet from us and look around at one another when we hold treats in our hands, so they're waiting to see which of them will go first. We're still working with them, so that could happen at any point, but I didn't want to mislead anyone into thinking these are "lap ducks."

Thanks so much to anyone who's willing to help.

I would love to have like 4 to 6 of them, I live in Dallas and am unable to pick up. Do you ship?

That was a crazy coincidence. I was just coming back here to post that a nice family with a farm just came and took all of them. The shipping cost would have been prohibitive anyway, but you should check your local Craig's List if you're looking for ducks. You're probably almost certain to find some there this time of the year.

Thanks so much for the response!
