I wanted to say Hello from NYC! I enjoy so much reading the posts here and learning from you all, but I'm saddened because I have to rehome my Beautiful New Hampshire Red rooster.
About three months ago we got our first chicks 4 of them, they were about a week old sooo cute! we fell in love, it was our first time raising chicks but thanks to these boards I had a brooder and everything set up for them, at the time I had been told that since they were so small there might be a "possibility" of maybe one of them being a Rooster, well that's exactly what happened.
We are heartbroken having to let him go but we can not have him here, he sings beautifully and that's the problem I can appreciate it but not my neighbors and it goes against our city codes too .
He is very docile and human friendly has been fed only organic food and LOVES grapes, I love my boy and the joy I have received watching them grow has made me very happy, happiest I have been in a while actually...
Sadly I have to give him away, I have not decided if I would let one of my chickens (his sister) go with him so that he would not feel alone (I know i'm being silly) if anyone can help me I would very much appreciate it, I know you will all understand TIA.
