need to thin my flock

Hi, my kids and I hatched some eggs in October, and we are having a great time as novice chicken farmers. I need to thin my flock, though. I currently have 6 Ameraucana birds, and I would ultimately like to keep 3 hens. I am wondering if anyone has any advice on the best way to go about doing this? Ideally, I'd like to find someone fairly close to San Francisco who would like to expand their flock. One of my birds is definitely male. I'm still uncertain about the others. Thanks for the advice.

You could put for sale on Craigslist or on this site "Buy ~ Sale ~ Auction". As for identify rooster or hen, you can post the photo and ask folk under "What Breed or Gender is This?" https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/15/what-breed-or-gender-is-this

Hi, thanks for your response. I"ll try Craigslist, although I believe they don't let people post classified for pets. Also, that would be great to get feedback about my birds' sex.

Chickens can be sold under Farm and garden section. I have sold several times on CL
