Short version: my 3yo hen had something hanging from her vent this morning. I got a tissue and removed it. Upon closer inspection it was a soft egg shell. The egg had ruptured and the yolk was running down her leg. She isn't lethargic. But she isn't herself either. She is keeping distance from the flock. I'm wondering if this is because they pecked at her. Should I give her calcium? Or just monitor her for symptoms for now? Never encountered this before. Thank you for reading.

I'm no expert, but I'd give her calcium for several days. It won't hurt and could help her to pass any remains, plus it'll help prevent soft-shell in any eggs she's still forming.
