So i had a "handyman", that my husband and I know, start construction on my coop. I went to check it today, (it's been almost 2 weeks....) And, let me just say.... "your fired." Project over. Random sizes, not square, no structure, not level, random nails poking out. Omg, it was a disaster! So now my husband is going to start over, and that leaves me To directing, and I have no clue where to start.
I do know some of what I want, but no I idea how to go about it.
I want external nesting boxes. How do I go about that? What about Vents, permanent or Adjustable?
my husband has built several sheds, definitely "over built", as far as that goes. And he will probably construct the coop Framed like a house, with a run attached to that. All he's gonna do is the basic structure and the run. It's up to me to figure Out the nesting boxes, Ventilation, roosting poles, where i need the access door...Ect. He'll do the work if i do the homework.
So if any one has their two cents... I need it! :-)

I have been searching this site for so long, trying to find one single coop I liked, only to combine several, then try to explain it to my husband....well...had been unsuccessful. He likes to "go with it" and not have any plans, which may work for him, but confuses the hell out of me. So mostly i try to stay clear and watch silently until i need something specific, such as External nesting boxes, and venting. Everything else i think he can do, and i can live with it.
