Soo I thought I was very clever making a nice simple roost but now realize the corners instead of the flat of the 2x2s is what they'll sit on now that it's leaned in there. Any thoughts on a quick easy way to fix it? Or is it actually okay how it is?

This is basically just a grow-out coop until I can sex them, rehome who I need to and the rest can join the big girls in the big girl coop. They're 4 weeks old, mama hen is so over this and started chasing them out last night so she's back in the big coop.

Cut triangle out of the long boards. Like rafter for steps. It’s a little more difficult because the supports are laying flat.

OR sand or cut a corner of the smaller pieces so they sit diagnally
On the support so they end up being flat face up.

good luck. Thank about when you are screwing them back down though. I have a very similar set up. Might want to add a second screw going horizontally. A few roosts have come off through the the years and it’s always a bent vertical screw. Add a little extra support to keep the roost from sliding down.

Thank you that's really good advice. Now that it's in there for real (it had to be a little wobbly/flexible so I could get it in) I'll definitely add some more support and extra screws :)
