I hatched silkie chickens that are from a breeder in Florida who has show chickens. I ended up with three roosters who are born November 6, 2021. Unfortunately I can’t have roosters in upstate New York. They are so sweet I have a black one and an orange one. I do have a gray one but I’m so in love with him I just can’t give him up I don’t care what they say but I just can’t have three of them. Message me if you’re interested thank you

I hope you find a nice house for them. It's awful to give away birds which you love
It’s awful. The laws need to chance honestly I live in Saratoga county in the town of Halfmoon. I did all this work got two coops built and hatched chickens got my first two eggs. I live in a duplex with two yards that have separate fencing and the Neighbor called my landlord and complained. They were absolutely not as loud as her dog. I was told I have ten days to remove them all. Because I didn’t know you are required to have 2 Acres at least and my landlords said that there not aloud in Halfmoon it’s so so heartbreaking. But I still need to find homes for the roosters.

They can make you get rid of your roosters if you own your land too.I bought an acre of land to build a house on where it was publicized being "legal to keep chickens".What I didn't know is the actual ordinance says I must have written permission from any neighbors(who's house is within 500 ft of the coop) They don't have to live in the house. That goes for anyone number of empty houses sold to the state for back taxes around my property.I've now put my land up for sale.
