Hello

I know the dark red hens are Rhode Island Reds and I know the silver winged sebrights the male and female and the 2 golden meat chickens. I was just wondering if anyone could tell me what kind of breeds the rest of the flock was.

It's nice to know what breeds they are. Most of them we got as chicks @ Tractor Supply Co. We did get a new member to the flock a few days ago.

In the craigslist ad, farmers on 4th street were trying to get rid of thier roosters.

$5 each! I can't remember what the other kind was, but we got the Partridge Cochin rooster. He's still a baby of only 6 months and doesn't crow yet

but hopefully he will. We're hopin to someday have baby chicks.:) We made a homemade incubator after looking at all the homemade incubators on here. Out of an old cooler, a light, a thermometer, a couple trays for water, a sponge, and a bottom so it's easy to clean. I'll post that in another thread.. Anywayz it's soo exciting to have our new Cochin rooster. I named him "Coach-in" LOL! yes! That way we would never forget what kind he is. Tho, I doubt we would since he has hairy feet and he reminds me of a Dr. Suess charactor everytime he runs.

It's "Coach-In"! :)--->
