My neibor's dog killed my chcikens 3 months ago he keeps coming back i lock them up all the time no chicken died since i need to get rid of that dog. If i catch it and bring it in to pound will they SUE us?? i asked them and they said they got rid of it. They want the dog i want the chickens. THEY WON'T GET RID OF IT i need to tacke matter in own hands like taking it into a pound or shootine the grump its a female dog so its actually a grump

How and for what damages could they sue you for? They can't prove any damages from you taking the dog to the pound and if the dog is loose than you are within your rights to take it to the pound. It would only be theft if you entered thier property to take the dog. Millions of dogs are taken to the pound and nobody gets sucessfully sued over it that I have ever heard of.

2nd where do you live? different states and countries have different rules for dealing with dogs that kill livestock.

I'm having this problem too. I live on six acres and the neighbors who just moved in on the other side of the woods have a dog that they let roam. It often comes up to my house while my chickens are out and I panic and send it running home if I am out when it comes up. So far I haven't caught it messing with my chickens, but I've been out and caught it coming up. What if I'm not outside and it comes up? Today it chased a cat across my property. If it will chase a cat, it will most likely chase a chicken. The first time I catch it chasing one of my featherbabies, kaboom! It goes home with a peppered butt. I'm seriously considering calling the law because we do have a leash law here and letting your dog roam is not a good thing.

They couldn't sue you for calling animal control and sending it to the pound. It's your right if it's on your property and they aren't containing their animal. I would also check your local ordinances about the discharge of firearms and dogs harassing or killing livestock in your area.
