I'm not sure if this is the right thread since I am pretty sure these are just mixed chickens. But, my husband and I just moved to a new house with 10 acres and we are about to start building our coop. We have a neighbor a little down the road who has chickens free range that two of the chicks have decided to adopt our yard lol We took them back to them and the next day there they were and now they are staying on our front porch since we don't have a coop or anything. I haven't seen this person's adult chickens but I really don't know whether they are Bantam or standard. They chips like chicks but have most of their feathers. I don't even know what to do with them right now. I am more of a heritage breed kinda gal but their chickens keep getting hit by cars going down the road and don't seem to care so I feel bad for the poor chicks. Unfortunately, the neighbor's teenage boy has been wandering around our property and in our barn so I'm not really sure what to do about the situation or if they are bantams?

pictures would help with guessing what they are. As for the neighbors I guess you could let them know you are interested in getting some chickens down the road (after you have a coop) and see if maybe they would let you keep these two since they wont leave your yard
