I let my flock out this morning to free range. And I went back in to make my coffee came back out and found my neighbors dog running around really scared acting. He runs the opposite way of his house bc he was afraid of me. I immediately went to check on my chickens and both roosters are gone ! I know he killed them. I’ve searched everywhere for about 2 hours and can’t find no trace of them! I live in Kentucky, what should I do ?

They were my boys my bopsy twins.
Rip My boys I’m sure you fought hard for your 3 ladies

then they are probably hiding somewhere. If the dog had got them there would be clumps of feathers at least where they fell. I have had birds return after 3 days. Don't write them off yet.

I am sure they are hiding in a bush or tree. Wait a little while and see if they return.

Do you see feathers all over the place? If not they are likely still around and alive. 🥰

Pretty roosters! I also think they are probably alive because many of my birds will sneak into the field where I can't find them and it takes me days or weeks to get them back sometimes. And they aren't even evading a predator, they're just trying to evade me.
Usually a dead bird will at least leave some feathers behind.

Your roosters are beautiful! I hope they're only hiding and you find them both safe and sound!

Only one came back. My rooster don’t leave their flock so I know something had to happen. One did finally come back but not his brother.
