Neosporin spray vs. ointment

I am also wondering about the spray, I almost purchased some, however I thought I would check BYC to see what other members thought. Neosporin spray or tube?

Also no cortisone in it.

Spray might come in handy. I'd prefer ointment for packing punctures.

Also there are some livestock sprays that could be good for wounds - particularly keeping them dry. I have my eye on Alucoat or Alushield which, on my horses, prevented flies and kept the wounds very clean and dry! I've heard some people use them on chickens. Only - it sprays metallic silver. In a non-peckable area, could be very useful.

I used to use a product called Furasol spray - great stuff - spray on antiseptic that dried to a powder. Wonderful for keeping flies away, keeping a wound clean and medicated. But the factory doesn't make it anymore. /cry My vet recommended the Alushield instead and I have to say I really love it.
