I just read an post that said that neospone is bad for chickens... I used it and mine got better she even ate some which I know wasn't good but... I was just wanting to know if you can use it on chickens?

I believe the one with the PAIN RELIEF might be toxic for chickens. But the normal one is ok, i have used it many times with no trouble.

The neosporin with pain killer in it can be deadly to chickens, but not all. The Neosporin without pain killer is used all the time for injuries.

You want to stay away from the "caine" type pain relievers like: Lidocaine, Benzocaine etc. They can be toxic to birds. Other pain relievers are OK.
I think it has been posted that Neosporin does NOT have the "caine" type pain relief. But you would want to check the label closely.

I believe you are probably talking about my post : https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=582504 Maybe not though.

I have been reading about the "-caines" as well. The neo I have has Neomycin, ploymyxin, and pramoxine as the active ingredients. So that should be OK? I just really want to be sure.

On a good note, the chick in my post is drinking a lot of sugar water. Every time we put our finger in the water

However, still not eating, but moving around more. There are still reminents of neo in the corner of the wound. I am not sure what to do....
