i just put my chicks out tonight and im so nervous i know i wont be able to sleep ughhh i keep checking on them

I know how you feel. I just put mine out today, also. I have a lamp in the coop in case they get cold during the night. They were terrified to leave the brooder, but I am sure they are just as happy as can be to have all this extra room now. Now I am a little concerned about the first night out! They are the healthiest chicks ever, so I really should relax.

And, I have a whole new batch to put into the brooder.

how old are your chicks mine are 5 weeks old but im in florida so i really shouldnt be worried but i am

Its too cold here in MI still, but I'm going to be a wreck when that day comes. We're at 4 and 6 weeks but under a winter advisory as we speak, blah winter!
