nest box

Could some one tell me what can be used in a rabbbits nest box, she doesn't like straw?, could you use pine shavings?

Shavings would be fine or even shreded newspaper..........

yeah,,my sister has rabbits and she uses pine shavings. works swell!

I use pine shavings in the bottom of the nest box then add shredded paper to it. I have 3 litters right now and we had an ice storm over the weekend and they all did well. HTH.

I raised rabbits growing up and also when my kids were little. We always used pine shavings in our nesting boxes.

you could also add an old clean towel that could be cut up or not. just make sure you dont want it anymore cuz they will probably chew on it. it will keep them warm tho but make sure it is placed so they dont get lost or tangled in it.

I use straw before the rabbit kindles. Once they get a week old, I switch to hay. This way the first thing the kits nibble on is hay.
