Nest boxes

I am not sure what to line my next boxes with, hay? Cedar chips? shredded paper? grass?

I use pine shavings. It's pretty soft and smells nice and my peeps love it.

Wood chips okay, but NOT cedar. Pine is good, up here we don't have pine; we only have spruce, tamarack, birch, aspen, alder and willow. The available shavings, short of making my own, are spruce.
