nest boxes

Husband and I built the nest boxes today. Well, he built them and I helped! Maybe went a little overboard using 3/4 " plywood but they will last!




These measure 12x12x15(deep) and will mount to the wall of our coop, about 18-24" from the floor. We were a little short of plywood on the top to make it out to the top edge of the box; but there is no way the hens can roost on top or on that top corner that isn't covered.

We should get them and our new (used) coop put in this weekend and I can't wait.. Never thought I'd be so excited about a coop and some pullets/hens laying eggs!
