nestbox sharing

I have 4 girls- 3 of which are laying. I have 4 nestboxes and yet they all just use one! must be the popular spot

! Is that normal?

YUP normal! I have 15 girls, and they all lay in the same two boxes even though they have 8 different ones! They seem to be partial to certain boxes!

"Oh, look, there's an egg there - this must be a safe place to lay an egg."

"I like this nest box, it's familiar."

Yeah, it's normal. My 30 knotheads choose 3 out of my 10 boxes. They wait in line to use a box instead of going into an empty one. Funny to watch'em.
