Nesting box question

In the process of building coop now. Just built the nesting boxes yesterday. Right now they are about 36" from the floor. Is that too high? I can put the roost higher than the nesting boxes are. Reason they are up there is I have some windows to put below them yet. Windows will are 28" tall. I may be able to drop the boxes 6" or so yet.

Your hens will be the ultimate decider. As long as the perches are higher than the nest boxes, it should be fine.
