nesting box ?

is 8 inches wide enough of an opening? The nesting box itself is 12x12x14.

I think that's the same height for ours. Depends how high they are off the ground and if you have a ramp for easy access. if they have to fly into them it could be more difficult.

It's about 12 inches off the floor. I can build a perch on if that would help.

Depends on the size of the hens! Some of mine need a little more width.... like 14".

I havent made my mind up. Thinking about easter eggers or wyandottes
